Five Hundred at Daqing Closing Ceremony

A Great Ninth Day at Daqing

The time flew in Daqing today!  We expected much and He gave us much!  There were so many seeds planted; much hovering over the Easter story and many questions from school support staff. The students are beginning to feel the end and tonight was a night of many tears as we completed our last evening at Camp Daqing.  The teenagers here have been tremendous.  Tonight, the teens led the classroom activities for all of the students while the lead teachers worked on the Closing Ceremonies for tomorrow afternoon.  Thank you teens! ...read more »

Wild and Wonderful Wednesday at Daqing

Heating Up In Daqing

A Great Monday in Daqing

Touring The City of Daqing on Sunday

After a great message and an energy boost from Woody today,  our hosts took us on a van and we traveled through the city.  It is definitely one of the cleanest cities in China, an obvious benefactor of the tens of thousands of oil wells located everywhere you look.  We stopped at the "Times Square" and walked in the park where the city government is located.  Next we did a bus tour over the Wetlands area, a huge swamp and water park on the edge of Daqing.  The park is loaded with thousands of birds.  ...read more »

Sunny Day Friday in Daqing

We had a great day today at Daqing.  We're back at the hotel after a Talent Night and a long day.  It was a beautiful, sunny day here–warm, but breezy and much drier. It was so much fun watching Nancy and her team playing baseball…with all their new ball caps.   Even Graham had a pretty good arm.  But Julianna is definitely a first rate runner.   ...read more »

Rainy Day at Daqing

We quickly found out who the smart ones were who brought bumpershouts as we navigated our 15 minute walk to the #1 Middle School in Daqing today.  The rain was soft but steady after breakfast at the hotel.  But the streets were full of water, and most of us endured the long day with wet socks as the rain penetrated all of our tennis shoes quite well.  The students are beginning to draw closer to us as we continue teachings in Easter, Christmas and other subjects.  ...read more »
