Guiyang Gets Gooey

Rain, Rain, and more Rain. We should have brought swimming suits!!!!! and row boats. We are in our second day of NONSTOP rain. The land is covered in water as are all our walkways. No more dry feet in this camp. And someone should have told the designers of this school that water and shiny porcelain tiles just do not mix. Remeber our team as they walk on VERY slick tiles where you are not able to distinguish the water puddles from the dry tiles. We hear many calling out "oooooppps!" Many near misses but so far no one has bought any tiles.

Humidity is to the point where even the paper and wood in our rooms is saturated. But we forge on. This morning was a full morning of classes. Several classes told the Easter story while many listened. Seeds are being planted in an area where less than 10 percent have heard the name we hold dear. Remember this city and surrounding area is nearing 2.5 million in population.

Woody and Chris left camp this morning. They will meet us in Shanghai on Saturday. They were indeed a blessing while they were here--giving us much encouragement to carry on.

There is a bug going around the dormitory--fever, chills, dizziness--several students have had to leave. Michelle is still not feeling well. Lift her up as well as the rest of us that the "mark on the door post" would cause the bug to pass us by.
