Hello from China!
We have so many praises to report! I’ll share some that I hear from our team.
The team has gotten completely adjusted to the time zone. They’ve adjusted in a very neat way too. Our team has been going to bed around 9pm and waking some time between 4 and 5am without any adult ever having to mutter a word. It’s truly remarkable.
Another observation our team has made is the true eagerness of the Chinese to get to know us, eat meals with us, and learn English. When the American students approach the Chinese there is a genuine excitement in their face. Furthermore, the Chinese students have consistently been curious about the joy the Americans seem to have. Please lift up those opportunities to walk through the open door and share about Truth.
Our Chinese hosts have been amazing! I cannot recall a request we have made that they have not worked very hard to achieve. As praise has flowed from our lips, they’ve have been surprised to be encouraged in that way; yet another open door. Isn’t He so good?
Also, the accommodations have been great, including hot water! No one has been sick either! The positive attitude and unity of the team is still present and has continued to be a blessing and encouragement to all in our group. I cannot wait to see what He does!
Please continue to lift up our team. Think about their health, safety, effectiveness, and opportunities.
Funny moment of the day: one of the Chinese girls walking up and rubbing the arm of one of our male team members, then saying (what might have been one of the few English words she knows), “Monkey!”
