Nan Dai He Seventh Day Update

Hello family and friends.  Love and hugs to all.

From Naomi:   Amanda and Naomi, Javan, Josh, Jon, Ariel, Joey, Dad, Mom and family.  We are having an unforgettable experience.  Similar to the Royal Hawaiian…(:)   The Chinese are always longing to know and the be known.  Missing you, Mom and Naomi

From Jack: Some of us are fighting bugs…nothing serious, but with great team. lots of backup support.  Thanks for many lifts for all.  He is faithful.  The Chinese put on a tremendous Talent Show for us last night.  Donna and Jenessa assisted in writing the script as many of the Chinese sang, danced, performed magic tricks, and even played a vending machine.  Such creativity and talent.  Carina and Bob hosted the show.  They did a fantastic job.  There were twelve acts all together.  Afterwords, the place was a buzz of excitement.  Many of the youngsters are helping Zach prepare a closing ceremony film of the major camp events.  These youth have such great talent.  Zach, Mary and Frank ,, the Chinese assistantshave been super supportive of the entire program here.  We love you all!

Today, I attempted to do some laundry and ended up with my socks and underwear hanging out the back patio to dry.  It didn’t take long before a Chinese tourist showied up on my door with my shorts and t shirts that had fallen off the patio.  I have nicknamed two of the waiters on my floor…Lily and Anna.  They work real hard attempting to understand my need for towels and toilet paper.  They are all such servants.  Some of us have been awakened at night because we forgot to lock our doors and they check behind us.  It took a couple of times before we figured out that they were our hosts protecting us!!!

Tomorrow is a beach day for sports.  The Chinese people on the beach meander through our baseball field, even while we are playing.. It is so funny to see how they have no regard for space.  We play on though, even when someone starts walking away with our first base.    Many of us have been sampling the pears, melons, bananas and other treats.  The chips are flavored with Chinese spices…peppers and other things.  We are keeping our perspective of our major mission and getting results.  Thank you for your encouraging lifts.  They are mighty!
